Jorge Paiva

Nascido a 17.09.1933, em Angola, licenciado em Biologia e doutorado em Recursos Naturais e Meio Ambiente, já aposentado, foi investigador principal na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Coimbra, onde lecionou algumas disciplinas; foi também professor convidado na Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra, e nas Universidades de Aveiro, da Madeira, Vasco da Gama (Coimbra) e Vigo (Espanha). A sua atividade científica e em defesa do meio ambiente foi já distinguida com vários prémios. Publicou trabalhos sobre filotaxonomia, palinologia, biodiversidade e ambiente. Apresentou variadas comunicações e proferiu diversas conferências em congressos e ações pedagógicas.
