Jorge Costa Pinto

Compositor - Maestro. Cursa piano e composição na Academia Amadores de Música, com Fernando Lopes-Graça e Francine Benoit e música contemporânea com Jorge Peixinho e Louis Sager. Em Boston, USA, no Berklee College of Music, estudou Jazz, Arranging, com Herb Pomeroy e James Prógris. Produtor e director musical de gravações discográficas para as etiquetas internacionais (EMI, Philips, RCA) e nacionais (Tecla, Radio Triunfo). Produziu também obras de compositores portugueses eruditos para o Ministério da Cultura, inseridos na Discoteca Básica. Com a Banda Sinfónica da Guarda Nacional Republicana, grava as suas composições: Timpanólic; Interlúdio; Paisagens; Bi-Tone; Aurora Boreal e Dialogus Tranquilis. Produz, realiza e apresenta desde 2006, o programa «Coreto», na Rádio Televisão Portuguesa-Rádio Clássica/Antena2, divulgando a música bandística Portuguesa e Internacional. É membro das Organizações nacionais e internacionais: WASBE (World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles); APRS (Association of Professional Recording Services); IMMS (International Military Music Society); SPA (Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores); AES (Audio Engineering Society); IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education.
