Jorge Araújo n. 1941, em Lisboa Biólogo. Licenciado e doutorado pela Université Libre de Bruxelles. Prof. Catedrático Emérito e ex-reitor da Universidade de Évora. Agraciado com a Medalha de Ouro da Cidade de Évora. Agraciado com a Grã-Cruz da Ordem da Instrução Pública. Presidente do Conselho Deontológico fie Profissional da Ordem dos Biólogos. É autor de publicações de ficção e de divulgação científica: Estórias Infantis para Adultos (ed. Espaço Ulmeiro) em coautoria com a ilustradora Maria do Carmo Pais, 2022.; Intimidades Biológicas de Plantas, Animais e Fungos (Ed. Colibri), 2023; Áurea (Ed. Oficina do Livro), 2025.
