Jordi Punti

Jordi Puntí was born in Manlleu in 1967 and holds a bachelor's degree in Romance Philology. In 1998 he published his first collection of short stories, Pell d'armadillo, which won the Serra d'Or Critics' Prize. In addition to Sad Animals, he published Set dies al vaixell de l'amor and Maletes perdudes. His books have been translated into Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Croatian. He contributes to the newspaper El Periódico, the magazine L'Avenç, and Radio Barcelona. Three of the stories in Sad Animals were adapted for film by director Ventura Pons.
