Johnny De’ Carli é engenheiro agrónomo pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, bacharel em Teologia, mestre em Ciências da Religião, ambos na Faculdade Teológica de São Mateus, e pós-graduado em Terapias Naturais e Holísticas pela Universidade Castelo Branco, do Rio de Janeiro.
Figura internacionalmente reconhecida do Reiki, tem vários livros publicados no Brasil, em Portugal e em Espanha, entre os quais se destacam Reiki Universal, Reiki: Amor, Saúde e Transformação ou Reiki como Filosofia de Vida.
Além de outros mestres, Johnny De’ Carli recebeu os seus ensinamentos de Fuminori Aoki (Tóquio) e Doi Hiroshi (Quioto), no Japão.
É presidente do Instituto Brasileiro de Pesquisas e Difusão do Reiki.
