John-Antoine Nau

John-Antoine Nau (nascido na Califórnia em 1860, de pai francês e mãe de ascendência francesa, com o nome de Eugène Léon Édouard Torquet) é o vencedor do primeiro prémio Goncourt (1903), com Force Ennemie, romance de uma linguagem inventiva cujo protagonista se crê possuído por um extraterrestre, de que J.-K. Huysmans, um dos membros do júri (juntamente com Octave Mirbeau, J.-H. Rosny Aîné e outros), dirá mais tarde: «Ainda é o melhor que premiámos.»
