Jodi Kendall cresceu numa família de sete e numa casa rodeada de animais, como patos, cães, coelhos e, claro, um porquinho.
Como escritora, viaja pela sua imaginação. Houve até uma noite em que apanhou boleia de uma manta dos mares, nadou com sete espécies de tubarões, esteve perigosamente perto de cobras venenosas e saltou para um rio cheio de crocodilos.
Atualmente, podemos encontrá-la a escrever em Nova Iorque, onde vive. Quando não está a correr atrás dos filhos, está a aprender espanhol, a lutar pela defesa dos animais ou mesmo a falar com estudantes em diferentes partes do mundo.
