Joaquim Pais de Brito

Joaquim Pais de Brito, nascido em 1945 em Nelas, é professor emérito de Antropologia do ISCTE e foi diretor do Museu Nacional de Etnologia durante 22 anos, entre 1993 e 2015.

Culto, direto e implicado, aparece regularmente na imprensa e na televisão, solicitado a propósito de um tema, de uma personalidade ou de uma exposição. Recebeu o Prémio P.E.N. de Ensaio pelo seu livro Retrato de Aldeia com Espelho. Ensaio sobre Rio de Onor, em 1996 e, em 2002, foi distinguido pelo Presidente da República Jorge Sampaio com a Comenda da Ordem de Mérito Cultural.
