João Rodrigues Pena nasceu em 1961. É licenciado em Engenharia Civil e possui um MBA Wharton/Nova. Entre 1990 e 2010 desenvolveu uma carreira de Consultor de Estratégia e Organização como Senior Partner na Roland Berger e Presidente da AT Kearney Espanha e Portugal. Em 2010 assume o cargo de CEO de um grande conglomerado português ativo e, em 2016, dedica-se à atividade empresarial própria, fundando e dirigindo empresas com destaque para a ARBORIS, líder na assessoria personalizada a grupos empresariais portugueses. É Cavaleiro da Ordem de Malta, Embaixador dos Antigos Alunos da Nova SBE, membro da ACEGE e da AAA do IST.
