João Pedro Nunes é doutorado em Finanças pela Universidade de Warwick, possui um mestrado em Economia pelo ISEG e é licenciado em Gestão pelo ISCTE. É professor catedrático no ISCTE e co-diretor do mestrado em Matemática Financeira do ISCTE e da FCUL. As suas áreas privilegiadas de investigação abarcam a avaliação de opções, o risco de crédito e os modelos estocásticos de taxas de juro, possuindo publicações científicas em diversos jornais académicos, tais como no Mathematical Finance, EJOR, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Applied Mathematics and Optimization, Review of Derivatives Research e Journal of Derivatives.
