João Paulo de Sousa Cabral

João Paulo de Sousa Cabral nasceu em 1956. É licenciado em História, e licenciado e doutorado em Biologia. Professor universitário entre 1991 e 2022, ensinou Biologia e História da Biologia. Nos últimos anos tem dedicado a sua investigação à Arqueomalacologia e à História da Botânica. Publicou livros e artigos sobre a vida e obra de Gonçalo Sampaio e de Domingos Vandelli, e artigos sobre Rocha Peixoto, Padre Jerónimo Lobo, Gabriel Grisley, Garcia de Orta e Américo Pires de Lima. Os seus trabalhos foram publicados em revistas nacionais e internacionais, e pela Editora da Universidade do Porto, pela Câmara Municipal da Póvoa de Lanhoso e pela Colibri.
