João Marôco, Ph.D. (Washington State University 1998), é professor catedrático da Universidade Lusófona e especialista em Estatística e Métodos de Investigação. Consultor do Banco Mundial e da Iniciativa Educação em estatísticas da educação, foi vogal do Conselho Diretivo do IAVE, I.P., onde liderou os estudos de avaliação educativa em larga escala (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICILS). Com mais de 53.500 citações (Google Académico H=85, i10=340), integra o top 2% mundial de cientistas mais citados (Stanford/Elsevier). Autor de quatro livros e mais de 480 artigos, ministra palestras globais e colabora com a imprensa portuguesa, sendo uma voz proeminente na avaliação psicométrica e educacional.
