João M. Videira Amaral

João M. Videira Amaral é Médico-pediatra e professor catedrático jubilado da Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, da UNL.
Fez toda a sua carreira hospitalar e académica nos antigos Hospitais Civis de Lisboa.
Até Outubro de 2007, foi Diretor da Clínica Universitária de Pediatria no Hospital de Dona Estefânia, e regente das disciplinas de Pediatria e de Clínica Pediátrica da mesma Universidade.
É autor ou coautor de cerca de 250 artigos em revistas científicas e em livros de texto, assim como coordenador e editor de um Tratado de Clínica Pediátrica em 3 volumes.
Tendo integrado a Direcção da Sociedade Portuguesa de Pediatria, foi Diretor da respetiva revista (Acta Pediátrica Portuguesa) entre 2005 e 2014.
