João M. S. Carvalho é professor e investigador no Instituto Superior da Maia (ISMAI). Doutorado em Ciências Empresariais e Mestre em Economia Industrial e da Empresa pela Faculdade de Economia do Porto, tem larga experiência de gestão em diferentes contextos, tanto no sector lucrativo como no sector social, tendo procurado estudar e aperfeiçoar ao longo dos anos as técnicas de planeamento mais eficazes para o sucesso das organizações.
Dirige o Centro de Empreendedorismo ISMAI-Tecmaia (CEITEC).
