João Gentil

De nome inteiro João Gentil Marques, nasceu a 29 de outubro de 1951, em Lisboa. Homem de vários ofícios (Jornalismo, Contra-Regra, Fotógrafo de Moda e Publicidade), cedo trocou a tranquilidade pela Estrada e pelo Mundo. Desde 1970 que, como cronista, desenvolveu a defesa da Ecologia no Jornal de Turismo, antes de alguém, para além de Afonso Cautela, referir sequer esse problema em Portugal. Em Macau, foi jornalista da Rádio Televisão (1983/1986). Publicou poemas em duas antologias: Só de Passagem, 1976 e Que Faço Aqui Tranquilo, (1989). Textos de Luta e de/Lírio (Poética edições, 2021) é o seu primeiro livro publicado a solo.
