João Ferreira

João Ferreira (1973) lives in Lisbon. He holds a degree in Equipment Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts and a Master's degree in Theatre Studies from the Faculty of Letters. He trained as an actor at IFICT. He has been the Artistic Director of Queer Lisboa since 2004. He was a Guest Assistant Professor at the Artistic Studies Course at the University of Coimbra between 2006 and 2015. He is the author of several articles in the areas of Queer Studies, Film and Performance, and has presented papers in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany and Brazil.
