João Ferreira Oliveira nasceu em Vilarinho, Santo Tirso. Licenciado em Ciências da Comunicação pela Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI), vive em Lisboa há mais de dez anos, onde trabalha como jornalista. Colabora regularmente com as revistas Volta ao Mundo, Evasões e Fugas e é co-autor do blogue Grande Turismo. Publicou os livros A Origem das Espécies Reinventada (2011), A Estranha História do Príncipe que Inventou o Abecedário (2012) e Diário das Coisas Impossíveis (2014), todos para crianças. Integra a colectânea de contos Roça Língua (Editorial Novembro, 2014). É adepto do Vitória e jogador de fim-de-semana.
