João Afonso (Lisboa, 1970), licenciado em arquitetura (FAUTL, 1994). Foi presidente da Associação de Estudantes da Faculdade de Arquitetura (UTL), presidente da Associação Académica de Lisboa e Secretário-Geral da Ordem dos Arquitetos. Foi funcionário público, arquiteto, curador de arte (arquitetura), editor de livros e revistas, gestor, investigador, bolseiro e docente convidado do ensino superior. Foi vereador da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa para os Direitos Sociais e presidiu ao Conselho Local de Ação Social de Lisboa.
Atualmente é Diretor da Unidade de Planeamento da SCML e doutorando em Arquitetura (DArq/UC).
