Joana Pinheiro de Almeida (n. 1980) é doutorada em História Moderna pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa com a tese A Casa Real Portuguesa ao tempo de D. Pedro II (1668-1706).
Dedica-se ao estudo da Corte e da Casa Real, tendo publicado pelas Edições Colibri a tese de mestrado Catarina de Bragança (1638- 1705).
É coautora dos livros Amantes dos Reis de Portugal, Amantes dos Reis de França, A Vida Privada dos Bragança e Duquesas e Marquesas de Portugal.
