Jerome Groopman

O Dr. Jerome Groopman ocupa a cátedra de medicina Dina e Raphael Recanati na escola de medicina da Universidade de Harvard e é chefe de medicina experimental do centro médico Beth Israel Deaconess, em Boston. A sua pesquisa concentrou-se nos mecanismos básicos de doenças do sangue, cancro e SIDA. Ele escreve sobre medicina e biologia na revista The New Yorker e é autor de dois livros de sucesso, The Measure of Our Days (A Medida dos Nossos Dias) e Second Opinions (Segundas Opiniões), que inspirou uma série de televisão. Em 2000, Groopman foi eleito para o Instituto de Medicina da Academia Nacional de Ciência americana. Ele mora com a mulher e três filhos em Brookline, Massachusetts.
