Jearl Walker é Professor de Física da Cleveland State University. Concluiu o bacharelado em Física no Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) e recebeu o título de Ph.D. pela University of Maryland. Lançado há mais de 40 anos, seu livro O Circo Voador da Física foi traduzido em pelo menos 10 idiomas e tem o e-book publicado no Brasil pela LTC Editora – GEN | Grupo Editorial Nacional. É autor de 152 artigos na revista Scientific American, para a qual trabalhou durante mais de uma década. Desde 1990, Walker é o responsável pelas atualizações da obra Fundamentos de Física, tendo participado nas últimas seis edições que conquistaram milhões de exemplares vendidos em todo o mundo.
