Jean-Yves Calvez

Jean-Yves Calvez jesuíta, filósofo e teólogo, nasceu em Saint-Brieuc a 3 de fevereiro de 1927.
Foi professor no Departamento de Ética Pública no Centro Sèvres e no Instituto de Estudos Políticos de Paris. Ex editor chefe da revista «Études», foi Provincial dos Jesuítas de França entre 1967 e 1971 e, durante catorze anos, assistente do Padre Pedro Arrupe, Superior Geral dos Jesuítas.
Jean-Yves Calvez contribuiu de forma notável para a divulgação do discurso social da Igreja Católica, ao promover a publicação dos seus textos maiores, bem como, contando a sua história através das grandes figuras do pensamento social cristão.
Faleceu em Paris a 11 de janeiro de 2010.
