A Dra. Jean Shinoda Bolen é psiquiatra, analista junguiana e conhecida internacionalmente como autora e oradora. É membro permanente da Associação Americana de Psiquiatria e Diplomata da Ordem Americana de Psiquiatria e Neurologia. Formada em Psiquiatria na UCLA, foi durante anos professora de Psiquiatria Clínica na Universidade da Califórnia (São Francisco), tendo posteriormente trabalhado como analista no C.G. Jung Institute. Autora de 13 livros que tiveram mais de 100 edições fora dos Estados Unidos. Surge em três aclamados documentários, entre os quais se destaca Women – For America For The World, premiado com um Oscar.
