Jean Dausset, Prémio Nobel da Medicina, em 1980, pela descoberta do HLA, o selo da nossa individualidade, que desempenha um papel fundamental na defesa imunitária e condiciona o sucesso dos transplantes. Foi ainda o fundador, em 1945, de uma galeria de arte de vanguarda que se tornou o quartel-general dos surrealistas.
