Jean Boisselier

Nascido em Paris, Jean Boisselier é doutorado em Letras e Estudos Indianos, e é doutor honoris causa da Universidade Silpakorn, de Banguecoque. Ex-membro da Escola Francesa do Extremo-Oriente e conservador do Museu de Pnom Penh, de 1950 a 1955, Boisselier foi também responsável pelos trabalhos científicos de restauração de Angkor de 1953 a 1955. Especialista em arte, arquologia e estudos sobre o budismo da Índia, do Sri Lanka e do Sudoeste da Ásia, autor de numerosas obras, realizou frequentes expedições arquológicas (Camboja, Vietname, Sri Lanka e sobretudo Tailândia).
