Jane Goodall is a distinguished British primatologist and ethologist. She has dedicated her career to the study of the social and family life of chimpanzees in Gombe, Tanzania. She is the founder of... Jane Goodall Institute and of Roots & Shoots — an educational, environmental, and humanitarian program that aims to encourage young people to be agents of change in their community. She has been a United Nations Messenger of Peace since 2002 and is the author of dozens of books on chimpanzees, animal behavior, and the importance of nature conservation.
