Jane Goodall é uma ilustre primatologista e etóloga britânica. Dedicou a sua carreira ao estudo da vida social e familiar dos chimpanzés em Gombe, na Tanzânia. É fundadora do Jane Goodall Institute e do Roots & Shoots — um programa educativo, ambiental e humanitário que pretende incentivar jovens a serem agentes de mudança na sua comunidade. É mensageira da paz das Nações Unidas desde 2002 e autora de dezenas de livros sobre chimpanzés, comportamento animal e a importância da conservação da natureza.
