Jaime Bayly nasceu em Lima, em 1965, vivendo actualmente em Miami. Obteve um êxito imediato em Espanha com os seus primeiros romances "Não Digas a Ninguém" e "Foi ontem e já me Esqueci". Confirmou a sua extraordinária narrativa com "A Noite É Virgem" (Prémio Herralde, 1997), "Eu Amo a Minha Mãe" e "Os Amigos que Perdi", todos editados pela Notícias.
Como apresentador de televisão, Bayly construiu uma imagem lendária: especialista em glamour e mexericos e, ao mesmo tempo, irreverente, bissexual e dependente de cocaína...
