J. Tomaz Ferreira

Nascido numa pequena aldeia da Diocese da Guarda (Maçainhas, Belmonte), frequentou o curso dos seminários diocesanos e, obedecendo às ordens do bispo D. Domingues da Silva Gonçalves, rumou para Roma onde, na Universidade Gregoriana, se licenciou em Teologia, após o que, com vistas ao Doutoramento, terminou o currículo ad lauream a que acrescentou o Bacharelato em Direito Canónico pela Universidade Lateranense. A par com os deveres do ofício, foi colaborador da revista "Vida Mundial" e chefe de redação da revista "Lumen". Ocasionalmente, escreveu artigos para a revista "Brotéria" e jornal "Expresso".
