Coordenou a Rede Nacional das Escolas Promotoras de Saúde.
Dirigiu o Departamento de Promoção da Saúde e Prevenção das Doenças Crónicas Não Transmissíveis do Instituto Nacional de Saúde, Doutor Ricardo Jorge.
Foi presidente do Conselho Científico da Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública da unl.
