Em miúda, gostava de olhar para as estrelas, mas foi já em adulta que trocou a carreira em Gestão pela astrologia. Com uma vasta formação profissional na área, e detentora do mais elevado grau de certificação no âmbito internacional, o CAP (Certified Astrological Proficiency) do ISAR (Sociedade Internacional para Pesquisa Astrológica), Isabel Guimarães dedica grande parte do seu tempo à investigação e é convidada frequente nos principais congressos internacionais.
A par disso, é fundadora da única Associação Portuguesa de Astrologia (ASPAS), assume o cargo de direção do jornal astrológico 4 Estações e assina a astrologia diária e semanal do Jornal de Notícias. Signos - O Caminho para a Felicidade é o seu sétimo livro.
