Inês Lourenço nasceu em novembro de 1942, no Porto, onde reside e se licenciou em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas. Publicou desde 1980 títulos de poesia e de microficção. Integrou numerosas antologias e livros coletivos, e poemas seus foram publicados nos principais jornais e revistas literárias nacionais e em publicações de outros países. Foi distinguida em 2023, como poeta, com a Medalha de Mérito da Cidade pela Câmara Municipal do Porto.
