India Desjardins foi jornalista durante dez anos, nomeadamente na revista Cool, onde ainda tem a coluna Le Journal Intime de Marie-Cool. Durante três anos, escreveu Place à Miss Jiji, uma crónica publicada no caderno Week-end do Journal de Montreal. Em 2005, publicou o seu primeiro romance, Les Aventures de India Jones, que foi muito bem acolhido pela crítica e pelo público. Neste momento, dedica-se à coleção O Diário de Aurora Laflamme, dirigido aos adolescentes, um público que ela gosta particularmente.
