Henri Fayol
Henri Fayol (1841-1925), a Frenchman, was an engineer and one of the classical theorists of management science, considered one of its founders.
He created the Center for Administrative Studies, where people interested in the management of commercial, industrial, and governmental businesses met weekly, contributing to the dissemination of administrative doctrines.
He was the general manager of the Commentry-Fourchambault-Decazeville Company, where he proved his skills as an excellent manager by rescuing the company from an extremely difficult situation.
After 58 years of study, research, and observation, he gathered his ideas in the seminal work. Administration industrielle et generale which was first published in 1918.
