Helena Centeio

Helena Centeio nasceu em Cabo Verde em 1971, na ilha do Fogo. Filha de Carlos Eugénio Centeio (Carlitos) e Ernestina Centeio (Auzina) ambos da ilha do Fogo, sendo a mais velha de 7 irmãos. Helena tem dois filhos, o Wilson Barbosa de 21 anos e Eduardo Menezes de 4 anos. Em 1980 emigrou para Portugal onde tirou o curso de animadora sociocultural, auxiliar de educação e frequentou também a faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Trabalha pontualmente como Produtora de eventos da cultura africana, audiovisuais e spots publicitários. Em 1999 organizou um espetáculo intitulado "Miss África" e em 2003, "Miss Carnide". Trabalhou ainda com várias associações, hotéis, juntas de freguesias, discotecas, câmaras municipais, campanhas eleitorais.
