Harrie Lemmens

Harrie Lemmens (1953) é tradutor e escritor, responsável por traduzir para neerlandês autores como Fernando Pessoa, Eça de Queiroz, Machado de Assis, Padre António Vieira, José Saramago, António Lobo Antunes, Clarice Lispector, Mia Couto, José Eduardo Agualusa, João Ubaldo Ribeiro e muitos outros. Recebeu em 2006 o prémio de tradução da Fundação Nederlands Letterenfonds. Escreveu livros sobre o Brasil, Angola e Berlim e ensaios, críticas literárias e posfácios. Participou em várias mesas de debate sobre a tradução literária e em 2015 fundou, junto com a mulher, a fotógrafa portuguesa Ana Carvalho, a revista literária digital Zuca-Magazine (www.zuca-magazine.nl), cujo objetivo é divulgar a literatura lusófona na Holanda e na Flandres. Em 2022 foi agraciado pelo Presidente da República, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, com o grau de Comendador da Ordem do Infante Dom Henrique. Depois de ter vivido em Berlim, Lisboa e Bruxelas, vive atualmente, em Almere.
