Harold S. Kushner é rabino laureado de Temple Israel em Natick, Massachusetts, onde também reside.

Kushner foi eleito pelos Christophers, uma organização Católica Romana, como uma das cinquenta pessoas que fizeram do mundo um lugar melhor na última metade de século, e pela organização nacional Religion in American Life como clérigo do ano em 1999.
