Guillermo Martínez nasceu em Bahía Blanca, Argentina, em 1962. É doutorado em Matemática, formado em Buenos Aires e Oxford, e escritor. É o autor de duas obras já publicadas em Portugal: Crimes impercetíveis (Prémio Planeta Argentina) e Borges e a matemática. Revelou-se como uma das grandes vozes narrativas argentinas contemporâneas.
