Gorgoroth

Gorgoroth é uma banda norueguesa de black metal formada em 1992 em Bergen por Infernus (guitarra), Ares (baixo), Grim (bateria) e Hat (vocal). Baptizados pelo nome de um reino sombrio na Terra-média de Tolkien, tornaram-se símbolos da cena mais extrema e controversa do black metal.

O álbum de estreia Pentagram (1994) apresenta um black metal cru e gelado, seguido por Antichrist (1996) e Under the Sign of Hell (1997), ambos fundamentais para definir o som agressivo e atmosférico do género. Ao longo dos anos, a banda passou por litígios legais e rotatividade de membros, mas Infernus manteve o comando criativo.

Com discos como Incipit Satan (2000), Twilight of the Idols (2003) e Instinctus Bestialis (2015), Gorgoroth continuou a explorar temáticas satânicas e anti-cristãs com fúria ritualística. Os seus concertos, marcados por cenografia chocante e pirotecnia, são experiências de devoção sombria e provocação.
