Gonzalo Celorio
Gonçalo Celorio was born in Mexico in 1948. He is a novelist, essayist, and university professor of Ibero-American literature since 1974, having taught at various Mexican, Latin American, and Spanish universities. He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Language and a correspondent of the Royal Spanish Academy. He was editor of several publications and director of the Fondo de Cultura Economica. He has published dozens of books that have earned the highest praise from critics and his peers and has been awarded important literary prizes. His work has been translated into English, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
