Nasceu em Elvas em 1977, no dia 1 de março. Cresceu dividindo a infância entre o bairro da Guarda Fiscal, na fronteira do Caia, e o bairro da Fonte-Nova, na cidade que o viu nascer. Frequentou o ensino primário numa velha escola do Estado Novo, sob o olhar atento de uma professora exigente e uma régua implacavelmente rápida. Aprendeu a sonhar na biblioteca itinerante da Gulbenkian. Escreveu as primeiras linhas na liberdade da Escola Secundária D. Sancho II. Ingressou no Exército, na categoria de Sargentos. Serviu em Timor e no Iraque. Publica o seu primeiro romance A Memória das Recordações com a mesma ilusão com que subia os degraus da Citroen HY, três décadas atrás.
