Gonçalo Cadilhe nasceu na Figueira da Foz em 1968, onde continua a residir com a mulher e o filho. É escritor, documentarista, fotógrafo e autor de viagens de grupo.
Iniciou a atividade profissional em 1992, o mesmo ano em que se licenciou em Gestão de Empresas pela Universidade Católica do Porto.
Tem quinze livros publicados. Viagens, biografias históricas, surf e encontros de vida são os seus temas de eleição. Entre os vários títulos, destacam-se Planisfério Pessoal, Nos Passos de Magalhães, África Acima, Nos Passos de Santo António e Passagem para o Horizonte.
É autor de vários documentários de viagem para a RTP.
