Gitta Mallasz

Gitta Mallasz was born in Austria in 1907 and at the age of fifteen went to Budapest, where she became a very famous swimming champion. She studied art and had a brilliant career as a graphic designer. Until the end of the fifties, she designed and created the sets for the Budapest Opera House. In 1960 she emigrated to Paris and it was there that, for the first time, she spoke about the extraordinary experience she had in the company of three young Jewish friends during the Second World War.

Gitta Mallasz lived in France until her death, retired in the countryside. The original Hungarian version of the Angels' message has been translated into many languages ​​and has touched hundreds of thousands of readers.
