Gianrico Carofiglio
Born in 1961 in Bari, Gianrico Carofiglio is a magistrate by profession, a former member of the Italian Senate, and an anti-mafia judge, having participated in numerous cases involving organized crime, corruption, prostitution, and human trafficking. His first novel, Testimone inconsapevole, was a bestseller and has since received numerous awards, such as the XXXVI Premio Città di Chiavari, Premio delle Biblioteche di Roma, Grinzane Piemonte Noir Sezione Giallo Italiano, among others.
Worldwide, his novels have sold over 4 million copies and remained at the top of the bestseller list for two consecutive months. Translation rights for his works have been granted to 24 countries.
