Gérard Oberlé

Gérard Oberlé nasceu na Alsácia em 1945. Adolescente na Suíça com os jesuítas em Friburgo. Depois de estudar letras clássicas em Estrasburgo e na Sorbonne, tornou-se mestre assistente de latim e grego em Metz. A sua carreira como professor de latim-grego foi prematuramente destruída pelo lançamento de um tinteiro na pessoa do oficial da academia encarregada de inspecioná-lo.
Gérard Oberlé vive desde 1976 no sul de Morvan, enquanto foge regularmente para o Egito, Arizona ou Síria. Romancista, publicou: Nil Rouge (Folio, 2000), Pera Palas (Le Cherche-Midi, 2000), Palomas Canyon (Le Cherche-Midi, 2002), as suas crónicas musicais (La Vie est un tango, Flammarion) e um livro não classificável, Salami! (Actes Sud, 2002) e Retour à Zornhof (Grasset, 2004).
Também é colunista da France-Musiques and Lire.
