Georgette Heyer

Georgette Heyer (1902-1974) began writing the in 1921, when he transformed into novel a story he had invented to entertain a convalescent brother. The success was such extraordinary that Georgette concluded that the notability was not necessary to ensure the devotion of the readers and decided not to give a single interview in his life. Inspired by the work of Jane Austen, she became known for the care of his historical research, thanks to which he established herself as the great precursor of the novel history of the Regency period. He wrote to the end of life. His latest book, My Lord John, has been published posthumously.
