George Macdonald Fraser

George MacDonald Fraser (1925-2008) esteve num Regimento escocês na Índia e no Médio Oriente, trabalhou na imprensa na Grã-Bretanha e no Canadá e, além da série Flashman, deu ao prelo muitos outros romances de sucesso, o último dos quais Black Ajax. Milhares de leitores em todo o mundo têm apreciado também os três volumes de contos sobre o soldado McAuslan. Escreveu inúmeros guiões de cinema, nomeadamente Os Três Mosqueteiros, Os Quatro Mosqueteiros e um filme de James Bond, Operação Tentáculo.
