Licenciada pela Escola Nacional de Belas-Artes de Nancy, cidade onde vive e trabalha. Colaborou com meios de comunicação audiovisuais, jornais e revistas internacionais. Trabalhou no design e produção de filmes de animação. Publicou livros infantis em editora de vários países. Participou em exposições individuais e coletivas, e tem desenvolvido inúmeros workshops. Recebeu o Prémio de Ilustração da Bienal Internacional Ilustrarte ( Portugal, 2003), dois prémios da Feira Internacional do livro Infantil e Juvenil de Bolonha ( 1999 e 2003), o Silver Award para o mellhor design de periódicos em arte e ilustração ( Chicago, 1998) e o Silver Pencil Award ( Amesterdão, 1997).http://www.lesfreds.com/frederiquebertrand.php
