Doctor of Management specializing in Operations from the Open University and MSc. in Marine EngineeringHe holds a degree in Marine Engineering from the Infante D. Henrique Higher Nautical School, with a bachelor's degree in Marine Machinery from the same school. He was a Coordinating Professor at the Higher Institute of Engineering of the University of Algarve and a former Marine Engineer Officer in the Portuguese Tanker Ship Company (SOPONATA) and the National Navigation Company (CNN). In addition to authoring several technical articles on maintenance and reliability for national and international conferences, he is also co-author of the book "Reliability and its application to Maintenance".
