Francisco Castro Rego

Francisco Castro Rego é Engenheiro Silvicultor, e Doutorado na mesma área pela Universidade de Idaho (EUA). Foi Professor na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro e depois na Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, tendo sido Presidente do Instituto Superior de Agronomia. Foi também Diretor da Estação Florestal, Presidente do Instituto Florestal Europeu e Diretor-Geral dos Recursos Florestais. Tem participado em diversas iniciativas políticas, tanto no âmbito do Partido Socialista, como noutras iniciativas de cooperação entre forças políticas da esquerda. "Princípios do Socialismo - à volta de Antero" é a primeira obra que publica fora do seu âmbito de investigação profissional.
